Peninsula Pan Education

Get in on the fun — learn to play pan! Steelband classes for all ages are available in Blue Hill. This is your chance to learn to play and get in on the fun of playing in a steelband. Prior musical experience is NOT required and instruments ARE supplied for all classes. All classes are held in the “Pan room” at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, Maine. Registration is at the first meeting of each class.

Dancing to a steelband is great, but playing in one is even more fun!!!

Planet Pan Steelband

Participation in Planet Pan Steelband is available to all teenagers attending area high schools. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 - 7:00 beginning September 12 and running through the school year.

GSA Steel Drum Program

For students attending George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, Maine, steel band classes are taught each term. Students are taught the history and development of the steel drum as a musical instrument and, upon completion of the course, will be able to play four or five selections.
